Reference: USDA research study performed by Tara H. McHugh. The carrot investigation, conducted by McHugh, postdoctoral associate Wen-Xian Du and others at the ARS Western Regional Research Center in Albany, Calif., suggests that a moderate, 14-second dose of UV-B can boost fresh, sliced carrots' antioxidant capacity. Scientists have known for at least a decade that exposing plants to UV-B may cause what's known as abiotic stress. Plants respond to the stress by revving up their production of two natural enzymes, polyphenylalanine ammonia-lyase, and chalcone synthase.

When Tryptophan or Tyrosine is exposed to 295 nm, it will excite their molecules.
When proteins are exposed to 295 and 280 nm, the tryptophanyl group starts interacting with the ligand.
The DNA rebuilding substance phenyalaine absorbs light strongest at the 280nm.
Linoleic Acid (found in high levels in Raw Organic Butter) peaks its absorbance of light between 270-280 nm.
Microbial activity peaks at 300 nm.

Commercially-available low pressure mercury-vapor lamps emit light at 254 nanometers (nm), which are used to kill bad bacteria. Although the 185 nm wavelength is better absorbed by DNA, the quartz glass used in commercially-available lamps, as well as environmental media such as water, are more opaque to 185 nm than 254 nm.

Due to the shorter wavelengths, excessive exposure to UVB light below 305nm can cause an increased risk of skin cancer, and skin discomfort. For longer term exposure, the light between 310nm and 313nm wavelengths is safer. You can buy "narrowband" UVB tubes that emit UVB light in this specific range.

Where To Get Adequate 280nm Lightwaves

You can receive an adequate supply of 280nm light by spending time in the sun or by going to a tanning salon. While an overexposure of too much ultraviolet light can be harmful, just like too much of any anti-aging substance causes cancer, just the right amount of exposure is actually very rejuvenative. UVB levels in sunlight increase approximately 3 to 5 days after a solar flare, as the atmosphere is significantly more ionized. You can find some good scientific websites online giving 3 day forecasts of the worldwide UV index.

Medium wave ultraviolet absorbs strongest at high elevations (effects of geomagnetic storms are also felt strongest at high elevations). I believe that that UV light is related to longivity. One example is the worlds 2nd oldest living tree, which is still sprouting cones, so it can still reproduce, is the tree called Methuselah, which is about 4,770 years old. Due to its high elevation, it is exposed to high levels of UVB light year round, and grows in Dolomite soil. Its possible the UVB spectrum is boosting the clarity of the cell to cell signaling in the body.

Another example of a plant that grows at high elevations are the leaves of A. Ursinum or Alpine Wild Garlic. This garlic has 20 times more Adenosine than regular garlic. Another method to increase medium wave ultraviolet absorption is to take white button mushrooms before exposing your body to this light frequency, which rapidly and significantly increases the amount of Vitamin D3 in your body.

Locations of Medium Wave Ultraviolet

The broad range of Ultraviolet that you find in the sun, always has the medium wave ultraviolet contained in it, so knowing the best times that the UV levels are stronger, will give your body a boost of this medium wave ultraviolet. You will receive an extra boost of beneficial energy if your body has adequate levels of electron rich foods such as Spirulina, Flaxseed etc.

UV Levels according to Time of Day

UV levels are greater in tropical areas near the earth's equator (the same geographic region many longivity herbs, plants and foods are found). The highest readings of Ultraviolet (at sea level) will be seen under clear skies in the Tropics when the sun is directly overhead, typically from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.. At the equinoxes, this will be at the Equator; at the solstices, it will be along the Tropic of Cancer in June and the Tropic of Capricorn in December. The further from the equator, the lower the UVB reading even at mid-day, because the sun will be lower in the sky. The lowest readings of all will be seen at high latitudes in either hemisphere during winter months - when the days are short and the sun does not rise high in the sky.

The Magic Frequency of 60HZ

Just as we can find the rejuvenative "frequency" in light by knowing the right nanometer range, there are also frequencies emitted by our sun and its solar wind that have profound rejuvenative effects. The frequency of the solar wind is between 30 to 50 khz. The famous antigravity research scientist Mr. Keely quoted 42.8KHz. as being a significant frequency for some of his most profound experiments. The most beneficial solar wind speed for health and well being are between the speeds of 325 and 330.

Below are more facts about the 60KHZ frequency:

It has tremendous healing and therapeutic benefits on the human body.
Oxygen exposed to 50 khz rapidly absorbs it.
A temporary 60hz electrostatic field effect has been shown to be beneficial for enzymes.
60hz is the same frequency that the antigravity researcher Floyd Sweet used to levitate an alkaline barium magnet.
Lactobacillus Acidophilus in its early stages can be accelerated in its growth at a 60hz frequency with harmonics.
Bacteria and molds and fungis grow easily when subjected to a 60hz sinusoidal field with harmonics.
Soybean seeds sprout up to 50% earlier after being exposed to a 60hz frequency.

Like many anti-aging substances when used in excess, exposure to 60hz also contributes to cancer and has negative conditions on health. A good example is living in a house near where large 60hz power lines are present (60hz is the standard frequency range for power lines in north america). This effect would be increased if you used high power devices such as blenders or hair dryers often. This excessive energy would gradually build up over the long term, with substantial effects occurring during periods of high solar activity.

Oxidative Stress and The Sir2 Gene

Stress is a natural part of health, it accompanies growth and expansion. Stress on the body is stronger during the 2 equinoxes of the year. Short "bursts" of stress are beneficial to the body. Only when the body is subjected to stress for long periods of time, can it be damaging to the body. Researcher Trey Ideker, Ph.D. at the University of California San Diego Quotes:"Humans may actually be able to prolong the aging process by regularly exposing the body to small amounts of oxidative stress".

Plants produce resveratrol when they are stressed. It is possible that plants use this stress to increase their own Sir2 activity. The longivity gene, Sir2, is activated by stress. Nicotinamide (Also known as Vitamin B3 and Niacin) is one of the most potent inhibitors for activation of the SIR2 Gene. The food highest in Niacin is Coffee.

Polyphenols will also activate the SIR2 Gene, mimicking calorie restriction.

How Temporary Bursts of Stress Prolong Life

When yeast cells are deprived of food (caloric restriction), their stress pathways are activated and the cells are forced to derive energy from alternative substrates. This produces alterations in oxygen consumption, which in turn creates reduced forms of nicotinamide. NAD stimulates the activity of the Sir2 gene, which in turn chemically modifies several proteins that are involved in cellular processes affecting longevity. Research quote by Dr. Howitz - "Yeast Cells are the key biological life form in cells and are greatly accelerated by B vitamins, which feed the yeast cells, allowing them to multiply."

Chromium induces oxidative stress. Studies have shown that chromium and niacin work synergistically, and together, can reduce cholesterol at doses that avoid niacin's side effects. Chromium Polynicotinate has greater biological activity than other forms of chromium.

Reactive oxygen species. This occurs from stress, heat exposure, or environmental stress and can cause significant aging to the body's cells. However, when the proper exercise is applied, it reverses. Studies show that exercise-induced ROS production plays a role in the induction of antioxidants, DNA repair and protein degrading enzymes, resulting in decreases in the incidence of oxidative stress-related diseases and retardation of the aging process. ROS can also be reduced by intracellular antioxidant enzymes including superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase and catalase as well as some antioxidant molecules like glutathione and vitamin E, all of which occur during exercise.Selenium activates the important antioxidant enzyme Glutathione Peroxidase, which also acts as a powerfull cancer killer.

Foods highest in Niacin, besides coffee, include: wheat, yogurt, eggs, Sardines. Niacin absorbs well into the body when taken with Vitamin C.

Geomagnetic Storms. These put stress on the body, however by performing the exercises during the "life force" period, this stress becomes a "beneficial stress" bringing about significant health renewal overnight.

During October through January, the earth orbits closer to the sun. During winter, stress is highest on the body, probably due to the increased geomagnetic storms. This is the time of year that visits to chiropractors peak and is also the time of year that Halloween occurs, which shows the horrors of destructive and aging bodies.

The 2 equinoxes of the year signal the change in direction of our sun. After the winter solstice it moves northwards and after the summer solstice, it moves southwards. I believe that because the body is so closely linked to our sun, that the change in direction of northwards affects the immune system of the body the most.

Excessive polyphenols will remove iron from the body and also create this "stress" upon the body. Foods highest in polyphenols include: Herbal teas, Dark bitter chocolate, unsweetened cocoa and extra Virgin Olive Oil. Another way to induce beneficial stress on the body is if you regularly take longivity compounds and than stop taking them for a while, it will create a short term beneficial "stress" on the body. I know this works from personal experience. Research has shown that when guinea pigs are fasted for 4 days, the concentration of tocopherol (a form of polyphenol) in the fat tissue increases. This reducing of longivity compounds works best just before the upcoming solstices/equinoxes.

Flu Prevention Cures / Boosting the Immune System

It is easy to keep the body in healthy physical shape via working out and exercise. It is not uncommon nowadays to see 90 year old men with bodies that look like a 26 year old. This is all due to supplying the body with the proper nutrition.

There is one very, very significant weakness here. Your body may look and feel fit, but it has now become vulnerable to the tiny bacteria microbes, that claim millions of lives each year. This manifests itself most often via inflammation and a depleted or overexcited immune system, the most common being bacteria that multiply into pneumonia. Professional sports athletes, those who are the most physically fit in our society, are also those must vulnerable to the flu and an overexcited immune system. I believe that springtime is a breeding time for new bacteria that the body has not yet become accustomed to. Spring brings with it new moisture, as well as drier air.
